A 66 year old grand mother won a record $1.75 million at the Black Oak Casino. She won the amount while playing at a $5 slot machine.

The Director of the Casino, Mitch Goldstein said that although it wasnt the biggest win of the casino, it was the biggest win this year thus far.He added, that a few years earlier a person had won $3 million.

According to Goldstein, the payment was made by the company that manufactured and owned the machine, International Game Technology. According to him, it took almost 5 hours for people from the company to come and check whether the lady had actually won the prize.

Goldstein was not sure whether the lady in question had taken the money in one go or would collect it over the next few years. He said such awards were good, as it encouraged other gamblers to come try their luck and win big sums of money.
